This institute established in year 1998 is managed by Sarvodaya Educational Trust which was stood up in 1995 for the pure purpose of uplifting the weaker section of society through the means of education. The Trust supports many institutions in medical, law and paramedical sectors thus, the trust promotes nursing education and the institute has started courses like General Nursing and Midwifery, B.Sc. Nursing, M.Sc. Nursing, and P.B. B.Sc. nursing. The college has affiliation to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and is accredited by Karnataka Nursing Council and Indian Nursing Council. The college aims to provide good educational facilities to produce responsible and capable nurses who are expected to be intellectual and analytical in solving critical problems. The nurses are adjusted and made aware to the new technological developments and methods used in the field of nursing. Sarvodaya College of Nursing has hostel with qualified warden being arranged for boys and girls separately with at most security. The hostel facility is compulsory for girls for their General Nursing and Midwifery session and B.Sc. Nursing session. And also is compulsory for them to avail the mess facility.
