M.S. Ramaiah College of Physiotherapy is a part of M.S. Ramaiah Medical College, Bangalore. The college was started in the year 1996 and has been producing excellent pioneer for the nation. Today this college is nationally as well as an internationally renowned educational institute. The M.S. Ramaiah College of Physiotherapy offers two different courses which include Bachelor in Physiotherapy and Master in Physiotherapy which is provided by highly qualified teaching team. The courses in this college are recognized by Indian Association of Physiotherapy whereas the college is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences.
The founder of M.S. Ramaiah Medical College is Late Dr M.S. Ramaiah. He established this institute having a deep desire to build a better world with quality education. He had the courage to do something bigger and better and supposed that in order to leave footprints in the sands of time we should never drag our feet. This institute believes “Gnanahangotri –Spring of Knowledge” which indicates to the passion and devotion of providing education to the masses. M.S. Ramaiah Medical College is built in a total area of 65 acres which is located in 7 km from Bangalore city. The main building of this college comprises of spacious and well-maintained rooms. ‘Vidya Soudha’. This main college building is a very big which is built in the total floor are of 3 lakh square feet which are directly linked to the teaching hospital with total 1050 beds. Every buildings and rooms are well-equipped and facilitated so that the students would not have any inconvenience during their college duration. The parents are also regularly updated about the academic progress of their children. The attendance and performance of the students are clearly noted and monitored which is updated in the college website so that the parents can have the information through access using a secure password.
Like the College of Physiotherapy, there are different another institutes which are under the M.S. Ramaiah Medical College which includes both health sciences and paramedical studies. Some of the other parts are M.S. Ramaiah Dental College, College of Nursing and College of Pharmacy.
