Matru College of Nursing under the management of Matru Education Trust was formed in the year 2003. The college is a gift of scholars who are highly dedicated and experienced in the field of medical science. Every founding members of this college are doctors and educationists who have an immense idea of imparting quality and holistic Nursing education. Matru College of Nursing is under the affiliation of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. The college is recognized by Government of Karnataka and is approved by Indian Nursing Council and Karnataka State Nursing Council.

General Nursing and Midwifery is a diploma course of 3 years duration which is followed by internship of 6 months. The nurses of this field are in charge of taking care of women during their pregnancy and the post pregnancy period.
