This college of nursing is under the affiliation of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and offers three courses to its students. General Nursing and Midwifery in diploma level, Basic B.Sc. Nursing and Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing in undergraduate is taught in CNK College of Nursing which is recognized by Government of Karnataka, Indian Nursing Council, and Karnataka Nursing Council.
This college provides spacious, well equipped, adequate classrooms for all the students. There are different labs and practical according to the nature of the training. Different administrative and teaching blocks are available so that the teachers and learners may study in a peaceful environment. There is a huge library with an adequate amount of books managed according to the nature of the study and computer rooms for computer education which is mandatory for the students to visit as per the routine. AV Aids room is also one of the attractions of CNK College of Nursing which is well-equipped with AV materials for the presentation, demonstration and teaching purpose. There are stocks of educational DVD’s, VCD’s, CD’s & Cassettes available for the students and teachers for the study purpose whenever the need. There is also a well-constructed auditorium with AV Aids and 500 seats holding capacity for conducting seminars, examinations & various academic deliberations.
CNK College of Nursing is under the management of CNK Reddy College of Institutions where MBA (Masters in Business Administration) course is taught under the affiliation of Bangalore University by Government of Karnataka and approval of All India Council for Technical Education. Both of these courses in the institution are taught by a qualified and specialized group of professors under the parental care and guidance. General Nursing and Midwifery program lays the foundation for nursing practice and education. Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing is an undergraduate course of 2 years. The course is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. This course is taken up after General Nursing and Midwifery course by the students. The students need to be registered nurses after a diploma program in nursing from Indian Nursing Council recognized Institute of nursing, to be enrolled in this course. This course gives an advantage to the students to join Masters Course as they do not have to take one-year work experience like B.Sc. nursing course students. Immediately after this course, the students are eligible to take up M.Sc. nursing course.
The main advantage of taking this course is one can get the full chance to study Masters Course after they complete this course. The Post B.Sc. nurses are also equally treated as qualified as the Basic B.Sc. nurses and given same chances to work in many hospitals.
